SIBU: University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) held a graduation dinner for its graduates at one of the leading hotels in Sibu on Thursday night.

The dinner was held as a gesture of appreciation towards the graduates, who had just received their scrolls at the university’s third convocation ceremony on Thursday.

The dinner was attended by its Vice Chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Khairuddin Abdul Hamid and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof Dato Dr Sabarudin Mohd. In his brief speech, Dr Khairuddin said that it is very important to acknowledge the graduates’ achievement as it gives them the opportunity to celebrate and at the same time, congratulate graduates on their success.

“UCTS, as a new institution, is in need towards having and nurturing a strong, capable, and cooperative networking line of alumni members.”

“Good alumni relationships bring many benefits to both the institution and the alumni. As graduates of the institution, alumni have a special connection with the university and as a result, are likely to be some of its more loyal supporters,” he said.
