BETONG: A total of RM1.33mil in Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) grants have been allocated for the Bukit Saban constituency this year.
Betong Public Works Department (JKR) assistant civil engineer Abang Rafiezul Abang Noria disclosed that the money was from Bukit Saban assemblyman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas’ allocation.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) report on Friday (Feb 10), Abang Rafiezul said this when visiting a project site yesterday (Feb 9).
He explained that the visit was to refine and finalise the specifications of several RTP projects for 2023 with Betong JKR as the implementing agency.
“A total of seven projects will be implemented. This includes the upgrading of SMK Spaoh costing RM150,000 and the reconstruction of the Spaoh i-Beam Nanga Bangkit Bridge costing RM300,000.
“Other are the infrastructure upgrading of Rh Rapong in Debak costing RM200,000 and the upgrading of the road in the front and back of Rh Nanga Lop, also in Debak, costing RM150,000.
“The rest are the construction of a road at the back of Rh Babu Kerangan, Debak worth RM200,000; the upgrading of the access road to Rh Nanga Ulai, Debak costing RM150,000; and the infrastructure upgrading of Rh Beduru Paku, Spaoh costing RM180,000.”
