PUSA: Mohamad Shafizan Kepli has expressed his dismay with the RM1.3 million per year allocation for development.
“There may be some who are forced to reduce the amount of aid as austerity measures so that the allocation can last until the next allocation is received,” said the Batang Lupar MP.
“That’s why the assistance to the people is very limited,” he said when contacted, on Tuesday (Feb 7).
Apart from that, he explained, his side was faced with the challenge of organising community, social, religious activities, especially youth according to the available funds.
“While as new MPs, we really need a large allocation to make contributions to residents, organisations and implement community programmes.
“I hope there are other initiatives taken by the government to overcome this lack of provision,” he said.
“Like the saying goes, a little equals a little, a lot equals a lot. The first important thing is to focus on giving the best to the people,” he added.
