BINTULU: The final round of the Interschool Bintulu Division Chief Minister’s Debate Cup, saw Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Assyakirin crowned as the champion.
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Assyakirin defeated SMK Bandar Bintulu during the final round which was held at Dewan Taklimat, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus.
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Assyakirin received RM1,500, a trophy and a certificate. It will represent Bintulu in the zone level competition.
Marchella Wilma Ak Welino, also from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Assyakirin, was announced as the best debater; she took home RM500, a trophy and a certificate. SMK Bandar Bintulu, the first runner-up, received RM1,000, a trophy and a certificate.
