KUCHING: Bandar Kuching Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Kelvin Yii handed over eight full sets of new computers to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) here recently to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

He said by integrating digital equipment such as computer systems into the hospital’s daily operations can provide higher quality care and improve patient safety.

“We understand that computer usage and other advanced technology can enhance the quality of service in the hospital. Thus, my office has purchased eight computers using my constituency’s grant.

“The brand new computer units will be distributed to various clinical departments and offices in the hospital,” he said in a statement today.

Yii said quality healthcare remains important and close to his heart, apart from the well-being of doctors and medical staff or hospital workers.

Thus, SGH, as the leading hospital in Sarawak, was important to keep pace with the times in terms of digital technology.

He had also allocated funds for SGH to purchase 100 units of waiting chairs; to create a more comfortable and supportive environment for the patients and their families.
