BINTULU: Two male drivers sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision near the Mile 2 traffic light intersection on Saturday (Dec 3).
According to Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Wan Kamaruddin Wan Ahmad, the accident involving a sedan and a pickup truck happened around 9.15pm.
Firemen from Bintulu station were promptly deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call.
On arrival, they found the sedan driver trapped in his seat and rescue works were carried out to free the victim.
The victim who sustained injuries on his back, was then taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver who managed to get out of his vehicle on his own, sustained minor injuries on his forehead.
After ensuring the situation is safe, the team wrapped up the operation and headed back to the station.
