GPS supporters throng Petra Jaya nomination centre

KUCHING: Over one thousand supporters of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) came to show their support and accompany Petra Jaya incumbent Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof to the nomination centre at Dewan Al-Muneera, SMK Petra Jaya here today (Nov 5).

Fadillah was also accompanied by Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki, Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman and Samariang assemblywoman Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.

They arrived at the nomination centre around 8:51am.

Meanwhile, Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Petra Jaya parliamentary seat Sopian Julahi and his entourage arrived at the nomination centre at 8:45am.

Parti Sedar Rakyat Sarawak (SEDAR) president Datuk Othman Abdillah also arrived at the same time as Fadillah.

Meanwhile, two candidates contesting for Batang Sadong parliamentary seat have also arrived at the Dewan Mesra Simunjan in Simunjan this morning.

At 8.30am, the first to arrive was GPS candidate Rodiyah Sapiee, together with her proposer, Sadong Jaya assemblyman Aidel Lariwoo, and her seconder, former Gedong assemblyman Datuk Naroden Majais.

At 8.50am, Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Lahaji Lahiya arrived at the hall with his proposer, Kuswadie Abang, and his seconder, Aboi Timbong.
