KUCHING: A toddler who went missing for one night in the thick jungle near their house in Kpg Serumah, Jalan Padawan near Teng Bukap, Ulu Padawan was very fortunate to be found alive and well by members of a search and rescue (SAR) team comprising the police, firemen and villagers at 9.30am yesterday.

After the toddler was found BOMBA personnel immediately took him to a clinic nearby for a medical check-up.

Besides being shaken and having mosquito bites on his body, the toddler seemed to be alright.

The two-year-old toddler, Alvincent Amy was playing outside their house at Kpg Serumah at about 5 pm when his mother discovered that he was missing.

It was believed then that he could have wandered off to his grandmother’s house who used to bring him to her house a few kilometres away.

Following a police report lodged by his parents, the police immediately formed a search and rescue (SAR) team comprising the police, Fire and Rescue Services Department (BOMBA) personnel and villagers to look for the toddler in the jungle near their house in the village.
