An APM man captures the reptile that was earlier on discovered inside the drain.

MIRI: Several workers at Naim South Lake in Permyjaya found a baby crocodile measuring at one metre long when they were cleaning a drain early this morning.

One of the general workers, aged 25, had later on alerted the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for help to capture the reptile.

According to Miri APM officer in-charge Captain (PA) Usman Harto, upon receiving a distressed call at 9.49am, three of his personnel were deployed to the scene to help capture the baby crocodile.

They arrived at the location at 10.23 am and managed to capture the reptile in less than 30 minutes.

It was believed that the reptile was brought into the drain during a heavy downpour early in the same morning.
