LIMBANG: A total of 47 telecommunication towers have been approved for construction here.
Deputy Minister for Rural Development Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said he and two other elected representatives had earlier voiced out the issue of poor Internet coverage in the district to the federal and state governments.
“Now, 47 telecommunication towers have been approved, and work will be carried out in phases,” he said as per a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report.
He said this at the Ngiling Bidai programme at SK Menuang recently.
The Limbang MP also called upon parents to prepare themselves with knowledge to help guide children to face digital challenges.
“Our young children are the future and they will face challenges that are different from what we faced.
“So, we as parents must prepare ourselves with the knowledge to be able to guide them.”
