SADONG JAYA: The rest and relaxation (R&R) spot at Batang Sadong-Sungai Buluh has been completed.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris said the project costing RM300,000 would provide a welcoming place to stop and re-energise for long-distance travellers.
He added that the facility could also be used by locals to do business to improve their socioeconomic status.
“This is an opportunity for them as the Sarawak government has approved the construction of coastal roads here in an effort to further grow rural areas,” he said on Monday (July 4).
He disclosed that a committee would be set up to handle the management of the R&R led by Tuai Rumah Sili Bunsi from Kampung Sungai Buluh.
