SIBU: An unemployed man, 31, was arrested by the police here for threatening a woman on Tuesday.

Acting Sibu OCPD Supt Dr Collin Babat said the incident occurred at 12.30 pm in front of a bank in Jalan Mission.

He said the complainant, 28, was sitting in her car with her six-year-old son and nephew aged 15 months, while waiting for her father to run an errand in the bank.

She told the police that a man suddenly came out of nowhere and tried to open the car door and the complainant then quickly closed the windows and asked the man what he wanted.
