MUKAH: A 30-year-old Indonesian labourer who has been abusing drugs since August last year was arrested after syabu worth more than RM4,000 was found on him.

District police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said he was detained at the Jalan Bukut junction, Jalan Mukah-Selangau on Friday (Jan 14).

The suspect, who is from Kaca Mata Mada Pangga, Desa Woro, Indonesia, did not have any valid travel document.

“Checks on the suspect yielded a big transparent plastic packet containing crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine, weighing about 41.96gm with an estimated value of RM4,196, in his black sling bag,” he said.

Investigations are continuing.
