KUCHING: The Congress of Union of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) Sarawak hopes to work closely with the new administration under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Cuepacs Sarawak chairman Omar Bahrein Unin this included addressing the welfare and problems of civil servants throughout the country.

“Our hope is that the prime minister can focus on the services of civil servants as the backbone in the government administration,” he said today.

With the appointment of the new prime minister, Omar also hoped that all civil servants would continue to focus on delivering services to the people with more diligence, dedication, integrity and quality.

“The federal and state civil servants in Sarawak are urged to continue to focus on trustworthiness, honesty and responsibility in their work in line with the pledge of the  public service,” he stressed.

Omar also called upon all civil servants to help the government implement policies for the welfare of the people to realise the vision of shared prosperity.
