KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Miri District received 13,640 bottles of hand sanitiser donated by Japanese company Saraya.

MRC Miri district deputy chairman Datuk Lee Kim Shin distributed the hand sanitisers to selected government agencies as well as District Education officers from Miri, Subis and Baram districts representing 185 schools.

Lee expressed his gratitude towards the company for the donation.

“I’d like to thanks Saraya Company for its humanitarian gesture and mission in preventing Covid-19 by donating a quantity of sanitising fluids to Miri Division government institutions and schools.

“I’m hoping that frontline personnel and the local community would be able to use this hand sanitiser in an effort to break the Covid-19 chain,” he said.

Lee, who is also Transport Minister, urged all members of the community to be attentive, adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs), and follow the 3W (Wash, Wear, Warn) and 3C (crowded, confined and close conversation).
