KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) Sarawak contingent has confiscated RM1.03 million worth of property from Jan to Mar 22 this year.
“The properties were confiscated under Section 39(C) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 (Forfeiture of Property) through 38 cases,” said Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail at a press conference at Kota Samarahan district police headquarters today (Mar 26).
Aidi also said that the department made 40 arrests in 27 cases during the same period.
“These cases will be investigated under Section 39(B) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 for drug possession,” he added.
He revealed that under the special preventive measures (LLPK) 2021, 14 persons were arrested while the charge rate for cases related to drugs for Jan and Feb this year was 80 percent.
