KUCHING: The Kuching City South Council (MBKS) has deployed its team to inspect a fallen lampshade at the Stutong Community Market here.

Its mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng said the council has instructed its division to look into the matter.

“We will carry out the maintenance work immediately and will do a report on what happened,” he told New Sarawak Tribune when contacted today (Mar 16).

He also urged the public to directly report to the council should they encounter any issues.

The public can also submit any complaints, feedbacks, enquiries or other suggestion on the council’s website at https://mbks.sarawak.gov.my/modules/web/pages.php?mod=talikhidmat&menu_id=0&sub_id=148 or contact 082-417372.

Earlier on, a netizen had posted on Facebook about the lampshade which had fallen off the ceiling while he was having breakfast at the market’s hawker stall.

No one was injured during the incident.
