KUCHING: A man and his aunt sustained injuries following a crash involving a car and a truck at Jalan Perimat, Pending near Kuching Mail Centre here today.
Sarawak Traffic police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident happened around 10.30am when both vehicles were heading towards the Jalan Perimat traffic light.
“Investigations found that the accident was due to negligence on the part of the car driver that has caused his car to crash into the back of the truck which had stopped because the traffic light was red.
“Both victims, aged 46 and 63, were taken to Sarawak General Hospital for immediate treatment,” he said, adding that the 40-year-old truck driver was unharmed.
Alexson added that the case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN166/59.
