Resident in Mukah appeals for street lights

MUKAH : Residents of Kampung Tutus Ulu here appealed to the relevant authority to provide street lights for thei r vi l lage. According to one of the villagers, the existing street lights are located far away from their village and due to the absence of streetlights, their village is very dark at night.

The villager, who contacted the New Sarawak Tribune reporter, really hoped that the relevant authority would install the street lights as soon as possible to facilitate the villagers. “At night, we almost cannot see the road and only depend on the vehicle light. This dark situation can also invite criminal activity such as theft and it is very alarming to the residents,” he pointed out.
