KUCHING: An empty house here at Jalan Sekama, was almost totally burned this afternoon (Nov 20).
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said they received the emergency call on the incident at 2.26pm and firefighters from Padungan and Tabuan Jaya fire stations were despatched to the scene to commence their operation.
Upon arrival, the teams found out that the double-storey house was already burning.
The fire was successfully extinguished at 3.20pm and no casualties were reported in the incident that damaged badly the building.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
