SIBU: All private childcare centres and kindergartens in Sarawak, except those in Kuching, are allowed to reopen with immediate effect.

This was said by Chairman of Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Clarence Ting yesterday (Nov 11).

However, those in Kuching (red zone) are required to apply for approval from the Sarawak Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Ministry.

Thus, Ting advised everyone to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to break the chain of Covid-19 pandemic.

“Everyone must strictly adhere to SOPs during CMCO to flatten the curve and to keep Covid-19 infections down.

“Social compliance, social responsibilities and social discipline are very important,” he stressed.
