KUCHING: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) mini convention held on Sunday (Oct 25) started with talks on various subjects.
For example, vice president Datuk Roland Sagah presented a talk entitled ‘Strategic Sharing: Native Customary Rights (NCR) Land’.
Assistant secretary general Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali delivered a talk entitled ‘GPS Success Story with CM’s Initiative’ and vice president Dr Annuar Rapaee talked about housing issues.
The following are opinions of those who attended the talks.
Philip Langus
The strategic plans mentioned in the talks should lead to a bright future for the younger generation. I hope that infrastructure development would go on as Sarawak is behind compared to Malaya. Politically, I prefer GPS and PBB to continue to lead Sarawak as they know the state very well.
Lundet Elok
The talks were informative, which means they are useful to us in various ways including getting ready for the next election and to be wary of misinformation or disinformation by the opposition.
Ayann Nyae
I feel glad that the convention has brought us closer to our leaders who gave us updates on current political goings-on. On physical development, I hope more rural projects would be implemented.
Melin Sunang
Today’s programme is part of the preparation for the 12th state election. It is a way to fire up the members to ensure victory for GPS which has contributed a lot to Sarawak’s developments. My hope is that GPS would continue to improve its governance for the future.
Bujang Domong
This convention is very good for us as we get to know other members and leaders that we seldom see. It’s good to hear them expressing their visions for the future. I hope they would continue to strive for Sarawak’s advancement.
Jacquelina Sahim
It is good to hear about what are happening in terms of development … what the various ministries have been doing and will do for the future. I hope that the chief minister’s visions could be translated by the ministries into reality.
Sadini Bungom
I believe that the leader of PBB, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, is sincere in his fight for Sarawak’s rights. It’s quite clear from the things he said during the convention. I hope that under his leadership Sarawak would continue to achieve greater things.
