SIBU: Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit is in stable condition after he was involved in an accident at Jalan Lanang here, Wednesday.

According to Sibu deputy police chief Supt Collin Babat when contacted by our reporter, Stanley suffered a fracture to his left rib and minor injuries to his right leg and head in the accident that occurred around 8.49pm.

“Stanley, who was driving alone from Jalan Lanang, had lost control of the vehicle before it skidded and crashed into a tree on the left side of the road.

“It is understood that the public at the scene helped him out of the car.

“He was also given early treatment by members of the Civil Defence Force (APM) before being sent to the hospital,” he added.
