KUCHING: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will continue to implement the necessary measures during the conditional movement control order (CMCO) period at its local markets and hawker centres for the safety of the public.

Its chairman, Lo Khere Chiang said temperature checks and provision of hand sanitisers would continue at three major markets and one hawker centre under MPP.

He said the markets were Kota Sentosa Market, Mile 3 Market, Kota Padawan Market while the hawker centre was Taman Desa Wira Hawker Centre.

“At the same time, MPP will also continue to limit the number of people entering the markets at any one time.

“This is to ensure shoppers keep a safe distance from each other when marketing,” he said in his Facebook post yesterday.

He urged members of the public to comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP) when visiting the markets and hawker centres in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
