SAR ops for missing man enters day four

ASAJAYA: A search and rescue (SAR) operation for Hamzah Dipi who was believed to have gone missing while fishing have entered its fourth day today.

According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, the rescue work yesterday involved a total of 57 personnel.

The operation began in the morning, along the shores of Asajaya beach, with a search radius of 3KM to 4KM, where the 50-year-old victim was reported to have gone missing.

In the evening, the search continued on to the sea by boats.

Meanwhile, the Sarawak Maritime Rescue Sub Centre (MRSC) informed that the Sarawak Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) Guard Boat 42 began its search at sea with a search radius of 15 nautical miles off the coast.

As at press time, the victim is yet to be found.
