KUCHING: about 2,000 units if personal protective equipment (PPE) were given to the frontliners of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) yesterday.
Federation of Chinese Associations in Kuching, Samarahan and Serian District president Datuk Richard Wee handed over the PPE, which included protective clothing, boots, helmets, goggles and others.
The federation said it would continue to purchase and provide the PPE, including masks and gloves, for SGH frontliners.
It also highlighted that the PPE was extremely costly and “as such, in order to ensure that there are sufficient funds to purchase these items, the federation would once again like to appeal to corporate institutions, businesses and individuals to do their best to donate to the Emergency Disaster Response Committee.”
Monetary donations can be remitted directly to the account below;
