Facilities under Motac closed until April 30

KUALA LUMPUR: All public facilities under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) are closed with immediate effect until April 30 as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19.

Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said the move was made in the interest of public health and aimed at preventing the spread of the virus.

“All heads of departments and agencies have been ordered to close their public facilities and to carry out disinfection work,” she said in a statement here today.

The premises are the Department of Museums Malaysia, National Art Gallery, Department of National Heritage, National Archives, Handicraft Development Corporation, National Library, National Department for Culture and Arts, Istana Budaya and Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC). – Bernama
