SONG: The body of a 37-year-old Indonesian man identified as Harry Mahrain was found yesterday floating in Batang Rajang at Iran Camp, Song.
The victim was believed to have drowned upriver at Wharf Pasar Baru, Kapit on Monday.
A call concerning the find was received by the Fire and Rescue Department’s operations centre at 6.54am.
Rescuers who were deployed to the scene took the body to Song Jetty to be handed over to the local police.
The deceased was recognised from the clothes he wore before he was reported missing at Wharf Pasar Baru, Kapit.
The rescuers finished their operation at 8.40am.
