SERIAN: A manhunt is on for a man wanted in connection with a murder case in Kampung Abit.
Police are now intensifying efforts to locate the whereabouts of the suspect believed to be an Indonesian only known as ‘Pakcik’ (uncle).
Recently, the villagers found the body of a 27-year-old Indonesian near a house at an oil palm estate near the village.
The body had been taken to Serian Hospital for a post-mortem.
District police chief DSP Aswandy Anis urged the people to stay vigilant and channel any information related to the case to the Investigating Officer ASP Alias Nen at 016-8830433 or to the nearest police station.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
