SRI AMAN: A team of three personnel from Sri Aman Civil Defence Force (APM) rushed to a house in Taman Seri Mewah, Jalan Sabu here to send a senior citizen to Sri Aman Hospital on Wednesday.

Its officer, Captain Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said the elderly man was identified as Kiew Chai Joon, 79.

She said they received an emergency call at 2.08pm and dispatched three personnel led by Lance Corporal (PA) Jacky Inus to the victim’s house.

“A check on Kiew’s condition revealed that he has breathing difficulties. We also found out that he is also a heart patient,” she said.

Siti added that the elderly man was given treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
