The construction of the 275kV substation in Limbang is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.
Utilities (Rural Electricity) Assistant Minister Datuk Liwan Lagang said this in reply to a question from Paulus Palu Gumbang (GPS-Batu Danau).
With regards to the source supplying electricity to this substation, Liwan explained that Limbang will receive supply via the 275kV grid line from the Bunut substation, also expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.
According to him, plans to connect Limbang to the state grid are a part of the Northern Grid Extension Project.
“The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022,” he stated.
