KUCHING: About 70 turned up at the Indoor Stadium at Petra Jaya to register themselves as volunteers to serve in the Sarawak Games or SUKSAR to be held in Kuching this Dec 14-17.
Chief co-ordinator for the organising committee Ahmad Rodzli Hashim said they need more as the target is 400 and is calling for more volunteers to register by taking the form from the Aquatic Centre and submit them before Oct 14.
“We need at least 100 more as they will help to organise the 18 sports events which also include four events for the Paralympic sports,” said Ahmad Rodzli.
The chief co-ordinator of the organising committee also said before the Games starts, the volunteers will undergo team-binding activities to gear them up to perform their tasks assigned to them at the various venues where the sports will be held.
