KUCHING: A total of 67 Form Six students from SMK Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Gapor here have completed their pre-university studies.
They were celebrated in a graduation ceremony officiated by the school principal, William Tedong.
According to Tedong, the university admission rate for SMK DPHA Gapor’s Sixth Form graduates is high.
He is confident the graduates would be well-prepared for university life, thanks to their one and a half years of experience as Sixth Form students.
Various awards were presented as a form of recognition for the students’ achievements.

These included the Best in Class Award, Best in Each Subject, Academic Improvement, Excellence in Co-Curricular Activities, Active in Co-Curricular Activities, and Outstanding Leadership.
The highest honours were the STPM Star Award, the Gapor Excellence Award and the Sixth Form Prestigious Figure Award.
During the event, Raymond Voon Zhi Hao was named the recipient of the Form Sixth Prestigious Figure Award in the male category, while Pearlene Thian Pik Lin from Sebuyau received the award in the female category.
Additionally, Yeoh Kai Quan was awarded the Gapor Excellence Award, which recognises students who achieved a CGPA of 3.50 – 4.00 in the school’s STPM Trial Examination.
Meanwhile, Jace Tang Liang Xu and Neadylia Alyea Abdullah Raba’i were each honoured with the STPM Star Award.
