SIBU: 6,000 people from all walks of life turned up at a breaking of fast at Sibu Town Square Phase I on Saturday night.
The event which started at 5.00pm was organised by Sibu Resident’s Office together with Nangka Service Centre and Sibu division’s permanent committee for Muslim Festivities.
Assistant Minister of Education and Technological Research and Assistant Minister of Housing and Public Health, Dr Annuar Rapaee was the guest-of-honour.
Also present were Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King, Sibu Resident Hii Chang Kee, Sibu Police Chief ACP Saiful Bahri Abdullah and Temenggong Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce.
