KUCHING: Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) has advised anyone installing signboards to follow the conditions of installation or to check with DBKU first.

In today’s operation, DBKU enforcement officers removed 59 illegal signboards around Metrocity, Matang.

“This action was taken in response to public complaints about signboards being placed at inappropriate locations, such as on the shoulder of a road with road bends and intersections.

“The signboards were said to have obstructed the drivers’ views, potentially resulting in unwanted as well as dangerous incidents to road users.

They are in violation of By-Law 22 of the 2012 Local Authorities (Advertisement) By-Laws,” said a DBKU press release.
