BINTANGOR: In a heart-felt tribute to women’s contributions to society, Meradong assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, and his wife, Datin Kueh Nai Fun, distributed 500 flowers to women at Bintangor Tamu Market in conjunction with International Women’s Day today.

When met at the market yesterday, Ding emphasised that the initiative symbolises appreciation for women’s hard work and invaluable roles in the economy, society and family.

“There are no limits for women to achieve success, as they are on par with men in all aspects of life,” he said, adding that women have also proven their capabilities in professional careers and leadership.

He added that women’s contributions must be fully recognised and appreciated by all levels of society.

Therefore, he hopes that women will continue to progress, achieve more remarkable successes, and make a positive impact on their families, society and the nation.

International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8, serves as a platform to honour women’s achievements and inspire greater gender equality.
