41 bodies in Kabong receive RM630,000 MRP grants

KABONG: About 41 Village Security and Development  Committees (JKKK), associations and mosques in Kabong yesterday received  minor rural project (MRP) grants totalling RM630,000.

The MRP grants were presented by Kabong State Assemblyman, Mohd Chee Kadir on behalf of Saratok Member of Parliament, Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom   at the  Kabong Service Centre here.

Chee Kadir  urged the  recipients to fully utilise the grants by organising activities for the benefit of members and the community.

“The   MRP grants are channelled by the government to associations, clubs or committees so that they can implement useful programmes for target groups,” he explained.

Also present was Kabong District Officer, Kamaluddin Haji Alkap.
