MUKAH: Some 38 students who were accepted to further their studies or attend training in the country received one-off education assistance from Balingian Constituency Service Centre here today.

The aid was an initiative of Balingian State Constituency Service Centre since three years ago.

Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi congratulated the recipients for being accepted to further their studies at local institutions of higher learning (IPT), or attend training at training centres.

The former Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) walikota hoped that the recipients would utilise wisely the assistance in preparation of registration at their respective learning or training centres.

“The Sarawak Foundation and National Higher Education Fund Loan (PTPTN) also offer assistance for students who wish to apply,” he said at a simple handover of assistance ceremony at the service centre.

Meanwhile, a recipient, Azreen Syukrina Adinie, 20, thanked the service centre for providing the assistance, which has helped lessen her burden in preparing for registration.
