SARIKEI: A total of 37 longhouses comprising 618 doors in the Repok constituency here received Projek Pintu assistance from assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii.
Huang said the government would continue to strive to develop and make progress in rural areas.
“Development planning is implemented in stages, depending on the main interests and needs of the community.
“If we look at the Sarikei area at the moment, various developments have been implemented, including the upgrading of roads and drainage systems, and other facilities, with the aim of ensuring that the people can enjoy a more comfortable life,” he said at the assistance handover ceremony.
In the meantime, he also called on longhouse residents to give full support to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
