SARIKEI: A total of 34 new referee candidates took part in the National Level Football Referee Course held here recently.
Organised by the Sarikei Division Football Association (PBBS) in collaboration with the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) the objective of the course is to produce more quality football referees – in an approach to handle bigger tournament in the state – in the future.
The response to the course was encouraging with most of the participants were came from Sarikei, Sibu, Betong as well as Sri Aman.
Honorary Secretary of the PBBS, Abang Zaini Abang Ismail said the participants will undergo a paper test that will be conducted on April 1.
