KUCHING: As many as 30 students from SK St George Punau, Padawan were invited for a Pre-Christmas dinner at Imperial Garden restaurant here last night (Dec 15).
Accompanied by their teachers, the students enjoyed some of the dishes offered by the restaurant such as roasted turkey, beef stew with vegetables, mashed potatoes with mushrooms, alongside desserts such as Christmas pudding, cookies, fruit cakes and others.
The programme is also part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) organised by the Imperial Hotel Kuching.
After the dinner, the students were presented with gifts in the form of school bags which is in tandem with preparations for their upcoming new school terms.
The gifts were handed over by the general manager of Imperial Hotel, Patrick Kuek.
When asked by reporters, he said that it was a joy to watch the students enjoyed their dinner while bringing them for a hotel tour.
“We want to share with them the experience of celebrating Christmas in a city hotel and we are glad they are enjoying it,” he said.
In the meantime, Imperial Hotel Kuching is also offering delicious Christmas feasts throughout the season including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day buffet dinner.
