SERIAN: The Sarawak Road Transport Department (RTD) issued a total of 28 non-compliance notices for various offences yesterday (Jan 2).
The department in its Facebook page said the operation was conducted along the Kuching-Serian Road.
In the operation, the Serian RTD Operation Unit inspected a total of 104 vehicles and issued 28 non-compliance notices against motorists.
Among the offences detected were permit violations, dangerous cargo handling, and technical infringements.
RTD stressed that the Ops Khas Gempur Teknikal, launched nationwide last month, will continue to monitor, detect, and take action against drivers and commercial vehicle owners who fail to comply with or commit offences under the Road Transport Act 1987.
The department reminded all road users to always adhere to traffic laws that are enforced.
The public can send traffic complaints directly through the e-Aduan@jpj application or http://jpj.spab.gov.my with accompanying details.
