KUCHING: A total of 250 female civil servants participated in the Amazing Race organised by the state Women’s Section of the Malaysian Government Servants’ Welfare and Sports Council (Maksak) yesterday.
The event’s starting point was the old Sarawak State Legislative Assembly building, and it concluded at the Damai Beach Resort in Santubong.
The State Secretary cum Chairman of Sarawak Maksak Datuk Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki flagged-off the race while the council’s patron Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib declared closed the ceremony.
The event was held to help to strengthen the friendship between female civil servants, especially low-ranking ones, with superior officers.
On the same note, it is to ensure that no female civil servants drop out from participating in recreational activities organised by the council.
