“Today, Wednesday, March 13, members of our SWAT team were conducting their annual joint training with HDS (Sheriff’s Hazardous Devices Section) at the FBI Special Agent Jerry Crowe Regional Tactical Training Facility in the city of Irvine. During the training, an explosion occurred indoors causing injuries to sixteen members of the SWAT team,” the office said on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

The office specified that 15 officers have been taken to local hospitals, and one managed to get to a hospital on his own.
