150 participate in entrepreneurship programme

BELAGA: A total of 150 people participated in an entrepreneurship programme entitled ‘Marketing of Products and Services Through Digital Technology’ held at a community hall here on Sunday (Sept 13).

The programme was officiated by Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais and Assistant Minister of Utilities (Rural Electricity) and Belaga assemblyman Datuk Liwan Lagang.

The programme aimed to introduce entrepreneurs, especially youth in Belaga, to e-commerce technology trends.

During the programme, participants were exposed to the latest marketing presentation topics such as space and opportunity identification methods, Facebook live, WhatsApp business, YouTube and others.

Participants were also exposed to the buying trend of consumers nowadays which had changed from face-to-face to online purchases. 

The ministry also provided information to participants on the assistance that they could apply for such as Graduates towards Entrepreneurship (GERAK), Technical and Vocational Entrepreneurs Programme (USTEV), Loan Scheme for Small and Medium Industry (SPIKS) and Sarawak Micro Credit Scheme (SKMS).
