LAWAS: Fifteen persons were compounded for violating the standard operating procedure (SOP) under the recovery movement control order (RMCO) on Saturday (Nov 7).

Lawas district police chief DSP Roslan Leman said seven women and eight men, aged between 18 and 62 years old, were fined during an inspection carried out on premises throughout the district.

“Compounds were issued to premises workers and customers for failing to record the names on a logbook or via online applications,” he said.

The compounds were issued in accordance to Regulation 10 (No 8) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) 2020.
