BETONG: Betong will host the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Betong Zone branch delegates meeting at Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Hall on Jan 25.
The meeting is being held after Sibu, Miri and Kuching had held the respective delegates meeting, in conjunction with the upcoming 16th PBB Convention from Feb 14 to 16 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
PBB deputy president Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said some 1,400 delegates from 14 branches are expected to attend the Betong meeting.
“We are ready for this big ocassion of ours. Preparations are now in full swing,” he said.
Premier and PBB president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg will officiate at the delegates meeting.
The PBB Convention this time is themed ‘PBB Tonggak kepada Kestabilan, Kemajuan dan Kelestarian’ (PBB Pillar of Stability, Progress and Sustainability).
The previous three zonal PBB delegates meeting were held in Sibu (Jan 11), Miri (Jan 18) and Kuching (Jan 19).
