BETONG: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Zone Betong Delegates Meeting, which will gather 1,400 members today (Jan 25), is significant in demonstrating grassroots loyalty and unwavering support for the party leadership.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said PBB members in Betong zone exhibit a strong sense of unity and maturity, contributing to robust solidarity among members.
“This is what we aim to showcase to the PBB leadership, especially our Premier and PBB president, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“It reflects unwavering loyalty and support under the large umbrella of Parti PBB,” he said.
He said this to when met by reporters after attending the rehearsal for the delegates meeting at the Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Hall here on Friday.
Uggah, who is also the deputy president of PBB, stated that Abang Johari is expected to deliver a keynote address outlining Sarawak’s and the party’s direction for the coming years.
This year’s PBB meeting will see the participation of 1,400 delegates from 14 branches.
Themed PBB: The Pillar of Stability, Progress, and Sustainability for Sarawak, the event serves as a crucial gathering.
“This rehearsal is part of our preparation to deliver the best for tomorrow’s event (today), where Abang Johari will share his vision for the years ahead,” he added.
Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam, Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, as well as Members of Parliament and assemblymen, were also in attendance during the rehearsal.
