KUCHING: A 14-year-old boy drowned after he fell off the Darul Hana Bridge here.
Members of the Fire and Rescue Department led by Mohammed Mirza Dzalmira bin Miraj rushed to the scene after being informed by members of the public. They immediately looked for the boy with the help of boats after rushing to the scene.
The boy was found at 10.00am in the Sarawak River at the spot where he fell. He was taken up the river bank for emergency treatment.
He was confirmed dead by medics from the Sarawak General Hospital and his remains were handed over to the police for further actions. The rescue operation ended at 10.10am.
