LIMBANG: A 14-foot python was found curled inside a chicken coop at Kampung Tanjung Riman here during heavy flooding here.
A Limbang Civil Defence Force (APM) force led by SM(PA) Haziq Haikal Hamdan rushed to the scene in response to an alert about the discovery by villagers around 8.40am. It took them nearly 30 minutes to capture the reptile.
Non-stop downpour since Monday has flooded several areas in this district including Kampung Tanjung Riman. Other villages affected are Kampung Pangkalan Madang and Kampung Mendamit.
The water level was said to have been increased from 0.6 to 0.9 metre.
